Amazingly, I attended an engagement day of a friend on 18th December. She was my neighbor, and her sister is my very best friend. We never lost contacted, and since now, every of her siblings have Facebook, we shares everything through Facebook. That makes us more connected than before.
The engagement was fantastic even though I came a little late. I lost way where I could not really remember the place especially at night where my sight was so limited. Reached there with a cake on my hands as the gift for Wendy. Soon arrived the place, we were welcomed by most of them. They were happy to see us. Especially the mother to see my sister. She was so happy that she hugged and kissed my sister non-stop.
Food served and all nice. Absolutely nice. But I ate a little and enjoyed the environment more. Somehow while sitting down texting and taking photos, Wendy pulled my hands to join her “joget”. Was not only me, but my mother and sister too. We could not say much as everyone of them kept on saying, “come dance, for Wendy”. OMG!
So, the engagement party was great. I didn’t take any alcohols, and I stopped “joget” even though I was being scolded by people. We left the place early as I was not in the mood, and in the car, my dad scolded me for that. He was mad that after all the way from Kuching to the place, he only enjoyed the engagement party for about an hour plus. But I didn’t bother what he said. We left so that I could avoid of being pulled to join the “joget”.
On my way home, I think so much about the party. I could not believe that most of all races and religions were coming to the party. No matter you’re a Muslim, Christian, Buddha or Hindu. And I am wondering, is there any places besides Sarawak that has this. Where you can dance together without any feeling of hatred towards other religions.
To Wendy and Peter, Congratulations on your engagement! Forget me not on your wedding day later. God bless all of you! =)
