Perception is Deceiving

Launching DUN

Been passing Waterfront few times… and been taking pictures of this new building few times… But the building was officially opened last night… Monday, 27th July 2009… And I guess all of Kuching people should remark this date to remember the grand opening of the new Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Hall (DUN)… Attended by thousands of Kuchinginites… Officially launched by the King…Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin…

The Modern DUN

Located few miles away from town… and placed in the Petra Jaya area… With the picturesque view of the Sarawak River.. it is just opposite the Kuching Waterfront… Making the people on the waterfront area to have the very wonderful view of this building…

The New DUN with Float

According to BERNAMA, this  project is a joint-venture of Sarawak’s leading construction companies which are PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd and Naim Cendera Sdn Bhd, after they were awarded the contract by the state government on June 28 2005…172-acre site with 9 level building and equipped with state-of-the-art intelligent building automation systems, multimedia communication facilities and environmentally-friendly features, its other notable features included a parade ground, a 1,000- capacity state banquet hall, a car park for 315 cars as well as the waterfront…The  project cost RM296.5 million, design and build contract was awarded by the State Government of Sarawak…

Yg. Di-Pertuan Agong with others

During the launching, they were also the state Rulers, mentris besar, CMs and even speakers from other state assemblies witnessing the grand launching of this building… Kuching was kind of busy during the date…  even few days before that… you could see police were everywhere… at  each junctions, they will be at least one police or traffic police were scouting the area… so that the road was clear…and everything  goes well…. and yeah,  they did it…

Fahriee (his tag makes me jealous) & Cyril

I remember, Cyril and me went to the town around 4pm.. and our luck was bad… why? Every time we reached one junctions, must be one police were standing there to close down the road… It just bad… we will surely at the back of the last car to enter the junctions… *sighs* And when we reached Waterfront, the Regatta was already finished… so, the next event will be at 8pm… so, Cyril and me decided to watch movie… whatever movie on that time… He called STAR Cineplex to ask… During that, we met Fahriee… He came across us… what a small world… talked with him for a while and took picture with him… with his tag… *jealous with his tag* What tag? ask him to blog about the tag… don’t ask me… rofl =P

Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Hall

STAR Cineplex was emptied… and the only movie during that time was ” The Last House on the Left“… and guess what? The movie was superb!!! it’s about criminal… murdering…and rapping… I could say, you should watch this movie… it’s good… and you’ll learn a few lessons after that… you should go and watch!!! =P

Sarawak Energy

When the movie done, that was already quite dark outside… stepped outside the cinema hall, and watched night scenery of the grand night… awesome!!! With the lights on everywhere… all the decorations… it was just an awesome scenery we hardly see during the ordinary days…

Sarawak Energy

The Floats

Went down, and each of every corners were full with people… Thank God Cyril and me got the first class view for the night which lasted not that long… STUPID THE MARITIME!!! another people whom brought his DSLR too… I hate him… not him… his girlfriend… kept on pumping on my arm… and when it times for me to take pictures, the pictures turned out to be so bad… because of her! another case, two couple… having five or four children… OMG!!! it was annoying…  with the crying sounds of the baby… with the other child some more… they should just watch it at home instead of coming to the crowds bringing the children… it annoys me so much!!!!

What else bad? The timing… they said, and I even read it on the event schedule pasted on the board… the event will start at 8pm… but what happened? It started at 9pm… an hour late!!! OMG!!! I was already not in the mood… and started to talk craps about the King, Rulers and everyone…. Started to hate everyone around me…  damn it!

Cruise used by the VIPs

So,when it started, I was kind of… okay… nevermind… I still could enjoy this… but what happened then, few of the floats were nothing but float… no lights and everyhting… I just could not impressed by all the floats… my mood was not there… and the late some more.. all became yuks!!! not more fun… I just took pictures and discussed with Cyril about the float… I think he will be agree with me too… it was just ordinary…

The maritime ship, blocked my views

Then, you know the ship or cruise used by them  to go from Astana to the Waterfront? it was sucks!!! and stupid!!! The Tanjung Payong cruise… why? you know, while enjoying myself and even Cyril… There were few of the staffs, they went on blocking my view… they changed the cruise position… and attached it very much closed to the one used  by the rulers… and I was at the center of the ships… I was kind of… damn la you peopleTak boleh ka wait this event habis untuk you people parking betul betul the ship… or why don’t you just left with the ships from that area… blocking us whom standing there.. watching the event… They did not even used it after that… why did not they move it away from that side… Bukan nya diaorang nak naik lagi pun… damn la… so stupid… macam la sungai tu kecil sangat until they have to park it there saja… and kacau us… not only me gone mad with this, but all the people around me… after the parked they ship right in front of me, the staffs pula yang terhegeh-hegeh brdiri luar ship tu… and every photos I took, I have to crop it… Their kepala were in!!! why did not they think… about the ship’s parking and even the staff… people were hoping to watch it clearly… but the ships blocked us… and then, the staffs… *sighs* poorly organized….

fireworks

Fireworks

After all, the most satisfied thing was, the fireworks… Even though I am a type of person whom scared of explosion even though it’s just fireworks… but I could say, I enjoyed it so much… It was brilliant… it was superb… it was nicely organized… I love watching it… it happened few minutes with the explosions on air… with nicely “decorated” fireworks…and I so much entertained by the fireworks…  AWESOME!! Thank God, rain fell after the event ended… meaning, I was lucky for that… =P

Love Fireworks

Actually I was in the lack of idea… and but what came to mind was about this two things… I’ve been thinking and think, and realized I should just blog about it… But it just my opinion… and no offense people… =P

Sure Heboh TV3 @ 2005

I went to JomHeboh before, in the year 2004 if I’m not mistaken… and it was called SureHeboh… at the Padang Merdeka… The recently JomHeboh, I missed it… and yeah, what to say… to regret? hmmmm… What’s in JomHeboh? Nothing… it’s free concert where people or anyone public can easily go without you have to pay… you just need to pay for what you want to buy there… if you buy nothing means you not need to spend any money for the event… I paid only for my food and hotel for the SureHeboh 2004… even though it happened in Kuching, but my friends and I decided to have a stay at Harbour View hotel so that we did not have to worry about parking and what so ever… and that, we only went there during the nights… so that we did not get any sunburn… Including the hotel, I spent for about RM200 just for Sure Heboh… 2 nights stayed at the hotel…

Rainforest world Music Festival

Rainforest World Music Festival? I went there once too… and happened this year… The first time going there… and yeah, my ticket was paid by Cyril… happened at Sarawak Cultural Village… He droves Mike and me there… the tickets cost him for RM180… for one day… and no staying… We attended workshop and whatsoever… we spent our money there for food and everything… and most of the things was not that cheap… but what to do… you have to buy it there… so, money won’t matter to survive… *sighs*

Why am I writing this? nothing… just to compare… I prefer going both… some might say, they only want to go for Rain-fest… which is must safer even though it’s pricey… some will say, they will go for JomHeboh, because it’s free… but for me, I prefer going both… I’m going to have fun… and searching for the fun… Talking about safety? You will always in the safe zone when you know how to take care of yourself… or maybe you only thinks about the low and high standards on going both? yeah… Jom Heboh might be free… and all public may go… even those whom has no money still can go… so no class maybe… and Rain-fest is pricey… and only those whom has money could get in… The ticket is pricey… what else the food… that’s what you’re thinking maybe… about the low and high standard you will be awarded by attending this both events…Never mind the crowd.. No matter whose in the crowd… you will always have the fun, if you intend on going to the events for fun… but not to show-off the standards you have… You will not drop your standards even you’re going for Jom Heboh… and you will not be awarded to another high standards on going for the rain-fest…

Jom Heboh Official Logo

I don’t care about the standards… As long as I have the fun… So, I prefer both… No matter what you gonna say about me… It’s the fun I look in the events, not standards… As long as I can have the fun, and meeting people, and even enjoying myself, I would go for it…  Even how low the standard of the event is… It means nothing when you less enjoyed but paid high… and it means so much when you enjoyed so much but paid nothing… I love going for both… but 2009 JomHeboh in Kuching, I missed it… *sighs*

Remember the last and last few posts I made about Rainforest World Music Festival? Yeah, I went!!!! and it was fun, and I wish it will never ends….kekekeke

I went for the Rainforest World Music Festival last Saturday… my driver, Cyril and another passenger was, Mike Cheng…. Mike drove all the way from his place, and parked his car at Cyril’s place… Fahriee droves all the way to Santubong Resort as he could not make it to be with us in one car…. It was really early you know? We reached there was about 11 in the morning, but yala… Sarawak Cultural Village was already with lots of people…. went through the “spot-check”… saw small thermal scanner… and metal detecter whom accroding to Mike, it detected nothing… and wondering about what actually the detecter detects??? rofl…

We got our SECOND CLASS parking… why do I called it a SECOND CLASS parking? Because, the first class parking is the one in the SCV compund…. and we parked the car at the OUTSIDE of the SCV compound… So Mike… can you agree with this? Never mind la… better than those whom parked at the third class parking (at the Santubong Resort)…rofl

Because of the early-ness coming, Cyril, Mike and me went surveying all corners of SCV…. we went to few crafts bazaar, and even stopped by at few houses…. Melanaus, Malays and Chinese house…. kekeke It was a long time ago my last visited to SCV… two years ago perhaps… I used to be in SCV every year, and always went here… my aunties and uncles are working there… and my father is the one whom judges if any events related to dance competition…. kekekeke So I could say few things I really like during my visiting times at SCV… first is, the bamboo trails…. and even the ladder made at each of the houses…. I like it so much… those whom followed me must be very sick of my attitude… every time I saw this trails, I will surely walking on it no matter how good is another even trails….

So, at 1 pm…. we were already at the SCV waiting for other bloggers to come…. and when we thought all arrived, we started it all…. Ice-breaking sessions when I was “played” by Mike…. I was the youngest among all, and I could say, I was the shiest too… so, when it comes to Ice-breaking sessions, I skipped my session and go on to those whom next to me… but can’t really skipped it as I was the second last to intro myself… kekekekeke

When all done with introducing themselves, games started to take place… we have readied three prizes anyway, but it turned out to be 5 prizes…. kekekeke The first winner was Fahriee, then Mike… followed by Alus, Chegu Carol and the last was Faezal:) it was fun though I wins nothing… I was the organizer too ( according to Cyril) so I can’t joint in… what a chance!!!! :) Congrats to all of them…. so, hows the prizes winners???? rofl

Done with that, and group photos, we went to the workshop placed at the Iban longhouse…. even though it was just a workshop, but it impressed me so much… even though I couldn’t see what’s in front, but at least, I managed to feel the musics played… :) And this kind of workshop were actually gives us loads of information regarding the instruments played by them… :) saw Kenny Sia during this workshop though… lol not only that, I have made one fake tattoo using airbrush for myself during the bazaar… :)

Night came, and I guess we were blessed enough for this day… Got parking at the second class position, and when it comes to night… The weather was just nice as hoped… It has no signs to rain… and it has not rain at all…. even until at the end of the event… you see, we were blessed!!! Difference with those whom came on the first day… They complaints about the heavy rains during the night…. kekekekeke

Before the event started, Cyril and me managed to change our clothes and have some bathes…. and during that time, Mike and Fahriee was asked to reserve a place for us to camp around the main stage area… and yeah, they did it the best… Our place was so strategic.. In front of the VIP stage… and it was quite high and we could see every inches of the places…. I even saw few men walking with dogs… and from what I read, the dogs was to scout any people whom came by using the “wrong entrance” with no tickets… and even to scout those whom bring the drugs and what so ever….

so, when we had our “camp-placed”, Amilia and Christian joined us with Mike then officially opened his second can of beer… While we were all trying to really sit in Mike’s thin mat…. Thank God Cyril bought new mat, thicker than Mike’s…lol

The first performer was, Asika… Not that bad, and I enjoyed the music too… but all those while they were performing, I kept on thinking about AkashA… and wish they were the one whom perform the whole night…. I just admired AkashA so much…. but it lasted not that long…. It was a superb time, when the third last group started to perform.. until the end of the event, it was awesome performances from Moana and the Tribe (New Zealand), Jeff and Vida (USA) and Dazkarieh( Portugal)… It was awesome!!!! I danced and danced… forgotten about the outside world…. and I enjoyed myself so much during the whole performances…. Though they were loads of people drunk-ing around me, but who cares… As long as they didn’t disturb you… but I just hate it sometimes, when the local got drunk, and they just hit you at the body and did not even say a sorry… respect to all foreigners… I mean the “mat salleh”… I got hit by them few times, and they did it the “sorry signals” few times for me… not like the local people… rude!!! but never mind… I just enjoy and feel the music… it was fun!!! and I think, nothing can express this kind of feeling… AWESOME!!!!

Oh yeah, throughout this event, I could see all the slackness that I think STB or SCV change it be better in future… As in the toilet… I remember, during the Morocco performers, Oudaden… I went to the toilet, and you know what.. I have to queue in order to get to the toilet… not only you have to queue, when you’ve already in the toilet, there was no water at all… and according to older in-charge for the toilet, there were no water to provide the toilet… and when the water in the pail finished, just no ones could wash their ” things”… So for someone like me… I really wish they could make a change for this… at least, make the toilet bigger and make sure there is water for the people to use…. :)

After all, I couldn’t say much…. but honestly, It was superb… even though some might say that this year was not that happening compared to last year… I went this for the first time, and I can’t compared the last few years events… but I think, this was just nice… I enjoyed it so much… and wished it wouldn’t end that early… I really-really enjoyed the rain-fest atmosphere… Being in the crowds, it was just fun…. even though with the H1N1 things, it just could not stop us from being wild for the night!!!! lol

Perhaps, Cyril will organize bloggers@rwmf again next year… and I hope, I could come for another RWMF next year… it’s once a year… and I am addicted to it already… really wish and hope I could make it again next time… in the future… and next year….. :)

Yeah, I will be attending this event… With few other bloggers…. Duck Meat

Yam Basket

I didn’t eat the butter prawns at last, and I was a bit having itchy here and there over my body, and that I stopped eating prawns and any other seafood…. Overall, I loves the first dish presented to us ( I don’t know the names, because they didn’t gave us the menu or food lists)…. They have it the wet butter prawns (which I ate), and it was truly very nice…. feels like eating the same butter prawns I was having during the Minex Dinner at the Sarawak Club…else like, ducks, chickens, fish and others, I think they can make it better… But it’s worth it the RM514 bill for all of us…. RM514!!!

20090627_333

I think I wish they could change it was, the air-cond… I went to the toilet, and what? The toilet was even cooler than inside the diner hall…. Sometimes, I felt like sweating while eating… and yeah, there were flies too… and it really annoyed us… Really hope they can change all this… We can’t really eat when the flies were flying here and there…. and it’s hard to take take the photos too…

Jimmy & Fahriee

But yeah, I enjoyed the food tasting…. With Emme around, the table was very cheerful enough… and meeting the others… Talking about foods, and discussing about the foods, was just fun… Hope to have another food tasting later… thanks to Irene and Jimmy!!! :)

Transformers? Revenge of The Fallen surely had made all of us gone insane with transformers… Everything surely related to Transformers… as in at the Shell, or even anywhere… Ther will be something related to this movie…. I went to watch  it yesterday, and the review will be at my Amieymisme blog…… but the movie was nice and awesome… I even had a evening-mare after watching this… In my dream, I was chased by Megatron and Bumblebee was trying to get rid of Megatron from me…kekekeke

Ileq-Ileq Cafe

And yeah, I went to kuching Acoustic Night too at Ileq-Ileq cafe yesterday…. The event was spotted in Facebook, and Cyril has wanted to be there for the show… Never heard of the cafe before, and it took us to go there so early, just to make sure we have the time to look for the cafe… but yeah, tak la susah mana mencari…

Cyril was hungry, and he just can’t wait another minutes to eat… he kept on saying this and that about his tummy… kekekeke we both ordered the Butter Chicken with Rice & Egg… and I ordered my Ribena with his was Teh C panas…. was kind of dissapointed when the orders came to us so late… And Cyril got his drink wrongly…. He got Teh C Ais instead of Teh C panas… and the food? OMG!!! it just not that really nice… Cyril even didn’t finished his food… and me? slowly and slowly finishing the food….

Butter chicken with Rice & Egg

The environment there was  not that bad… It can be better if they change something or make it even better… for instance, the performing stage…. and even the tables and chairs…. My back started to feel sick when I sat on the floor too long… but yala, I wanted to sit at the table area, but it’s far from the stage… and it’s not looking at the stage… I still have to turn a bit to look for the performing bands if I were to sit at the table areas…. so, it will make my back much more painful than sitting on the floor…

Band performing

We went back home so early,  around 1030 pm… I felt entertained so much during the third band performing whom sang Oasis song for their last song, just before we went back… and I like the voice of a girl… wearing tudung… a bit like Yuna but she’s not Yuna… I was really impressed by her voice…. and admire her voice the whole night… And for all other bands during I was there, it was boring… damn boring!!!! :)

Yuna Look a like

What did I got from yesterday night? nothing but back pain…huhuhuhu food? Not that really nice…. drinks? A bit okay but too sweet…. performances? only two ( which I already mentioned above) entertained me…. I only enjoyed my dating time with Cyril there… miahahahahahahaha

P/s I think everyone knows  about the death of our great King of Pop, Michael Jackson…. I would like to convey my condolences to Jackson’s family…. May God bless his soul… and May his soul rest in peace…. We’ve just lost the great icon… and the remarkable singer…. RIP Jacko….

The late Michael Jackson

Here is one of the song that I really love from Micheal Jackson… Even though he has gone, but his musics remain… forever!!! :)

Lame days in Bintulu

Huaaa!! Feels like years and years have not updating this blog… What a busy life I’m living now… huhuhuhuh To those whom are my friends in Facebook, they should know now, I am updating this blog from where… I’ve just got my free time to update this blog and I’m idealess!!! :D   Cyril had gone with his teams for Robotics competition today… Goodluck to all of them!! they deserve to win!!! :D

Been here is not like what I thought… Going back to room after dinner, was late… especially last night… was kind of unhappy with that situations, but what can I say instead of keeping it to myself and going on silent… Following friends for dinner, chit-chatting and done for almost at midnight…

Oh yeah…Cyril received Irene’s e-mail for the food tasting next Saturday, and we’re not sure about to go….but he will make sure we could go for it… Not only that, we too have to wait for Willie on telling us the date and place where he wants to do for the photo shooting… I hope it both won’t happen on the same date… if not, we’ll be in rush!!! :D

Will be home out so soon… and then, will maybe continue the moving out progress yeehaa!!! :D Hopefully in July, all done…. hope we will  fully moved out…. so that, I could enjoy the Rainforest World Music Festival…. Read more about it here… We’re still waiting for the STB decision, but I’m sure, we can go for it… with discounted tickets, atleast! :D
