Perception is Deceiving

Kuching: To Do List

I know, I left Kuching just three months ago, but I honestly say that I miss Kuching. Especially the food. I just can’t stop thinking of the food, and can’t wait to be in Kuching. I will be leaving Selangor in few more hours, and I just can’t stop smiling thinking about it.

I just can’t stop thinking of to meet up with my dearest gang, and foodies gang. I’ve been planning to meet them up everyday and eat Sarawak Laksa with them. Going to Starbucks with them. Watch movies with them. And everything that we love to do together before.

Yeah, the first I really want to do is, eating Sarawak laksa. I know, there are lots of shops who sells laksa, but I still in love with iCafe Sarawak laksa and Golden Arch. So, it’s a must to visit these two shops for Sarawak laksa.

The second thing to do will be, meeting up friends. Lepak-ing with them at Starbucks and hanging out with them around Kuching together. A simple outing, or make it a movies marathon outing. Either that, or any other activities we could enjoy doing it together.

Quitting My Studies

I know this is a crazy post, but I guess, I would be really quitting my studies here soon. I don’t think I could cope with my life here. It’s troublesome. Even during my holidays. Especially regarding my roommate. I can’t stand the pain I face everyday because of her.

She makes me stress, and burden me indirectly. I can’t stand to smell the smelly socks she has whenever she comes to the room after class. I can’t make it to adapt to her behavior when she listens to song loudly using her phone when I’m still doing my revision or works and assignments. One thing again, she loves to eat, I can’t stand to face it whenever she lies to her mom asking money because she has no money to buy food as the food here is quite expensive. It’s not the matter of food that expensive, but she eats a lot. For me, I only spend RM5 per day only for food. Unlike her, and that’s why her money easily finish.

What else makes me want to quit my studies? I don’t know. I find myself lost in anger, sadness here. I rarely in a happy mood. For the past few days, I’ve been crying my heart out for the tense I’m facing right now. I want to go home, and I can’t stand to be here. The studies are not for me, far from what I expected especially regarding the language used.

Tell Me Your Food

I’ve been busy lately, until I got no time for myself. And I’m not feeling well recently just because of my lack time of resting, and lack of proper food. I have been eating what are being selling at our hostel. Most of the time I ate chicken, rice and vegetable. Everyday, the menu will be the same. And I will be buying the same kind of food to eat.

As all of you know, Peninsular food are mostly spicy than the one in Sarawak. And for me who has been living with Gastric pain comes across this problem when it comes to food. It often makes my stomach gone in pain. It even makes me feel very down. Like at this time of moment, some parts of my body feel the aches. I experienced some kind of pains that I have experienced before. And the pain repeats.

When I’m sick, I easily gets angry and sad. Especially now when I am all alone. My stomach feels the pain, and I am having headache. And I’m not sure why. I had been in hospital before because of body dehydration, so I guess, it now repeats. But I’m too lazy to walk down to the hospital, and I’m too lazy to escape my classes just for the treatment. But honestly, it’s damn painful!

Pizza? What’s on mind? Pizza Hut? I guess it’s time to change. Change for something better for guys in Kuching. I could say that these pizzas are much better than those at Pizza Hut or any branded pizza.

Ron invited me to a food tasting in Silhouette, The Spring last night. I went there and brought only my emptied stomach to be filled with pizzas. On my first look, the pizzas seemed not filling the emptied stomach, but when I ate, I was bloated. It’s too much even though there were many of us to finish all the pizzas.

Invited by Fahriee & Ron Lim after Walk-A-Payung session, I attended the food tasting session with blogger at Silhouette, The Spring. In conjunction with Merry Guinness, they are preparing the promotion for all visitors. This promotion will ends before Christmas.

Beef Stewa

The food they are serving for this promotion are such as Beef Stew which is the delicious beef chunks stewed in a gravy of Guinness Stout. This Beef Stew costs only RM35 per person. I personally think that I really love the taste of the gravy of Guinness stout as I had never tasted it before. They did it successfully by mixing the original gravy with Guinness stout. What makes it even more tastier? The a glass of Guinness stout given free to us. Even though I didn’t managed to finish it all, but I tasted it a little. Since the launching of Breeze moment, I promised myself not to take any alcoholic drinks. So, that was what happening last night. I managed to finish my plain water but not my stout. But overall, the Beef Stew is totally yummy! *wish to have it now…omG!!*

Besides me, who else loves Sarawak Laksa? Raise up your hands so that we can exchange the ideas of where to get the best Sarawak Laksa in town. :P

I know other bloggers like Cyril, Fahriee and Norman loves Sarawak Laksa. We ever spent few hours at Golden Arch enjoying the laksa. They even did a second bowl for Sarawak Laksa, while I was so full and managed to eat only a bowl.

What else to mention here? I could say, I so much in love with Sarawak Laksa, if could I want to eat it everyday. And my favourite station would be the Golden Arch in Third Mile and iCafe at Rubber Road. The Sarawak Laksa there is totally yummy! If I were having bigger stomach for loads of food, I would take two or three bowls of Sarawak Laksa. But since I cannot, I will only can finish one bowl of it. But it’s yummmyyy!!!

After enjoying my time so much with Anne, David and Hazrita the night before, we had the task to woke up very early in the morning to attend the Closed Door Session with Tun Mahathir by invitation only. As you could notice that, we went there at first as the media, and then, we were part of the organizer, as what Anne said.

The closed door session was cool. Media were not allowed to come in, only observers and ministry were allowed to be in. So, Fahriee, Cyril, Norman and me were no more a media as we were allowed to be in. Anne said, we were one of the organizers. So, we were there, and before they start the closed door session, we were there to help Anne and others.
